LEARN – SHARE – GET INVOLVED – MAKE A DIFFERENCE

It’s time for every Illinoisan to agree that whether we care about health care, taxes, or help for small businesses, the influence of wealthy donors, political parties, and corporations can drown out our voices and prevent the will of the people from being carried out. When gerrymandering lets politicians choose their voters, or our communities aren’t accurately represented in the census, or big money buys votes in Springfield, we all lose.

GERRYMANDERING

The Illinois General Assembly redraws districts boundaries every ten years to give themselves an unfair advantage, cancelling out thousands of votes (maybe even yours).

MONEY IN POLITICS

Illinois political campaigns have long been financed through a system some consider legalized bribery. Representatives are essentially working for lobbyists and donors: not you.

CENSUS COUNT ACCURACY

Illinois legislators have the ability to invest in processes & technology resulting in effective, accurate counts. Census counts help determine state budgets & how communities receive fair funding.
